Schloessle
Built around 1796 for Jean-Jacques Ziegler, an industrialist, this house played a significant role in local industrial history.
It initially housed a fabric printing factory between 1800 and 1810, before becoming the headquarters of a roller engraving factory.
This second activity was led by Daniel Koechlin Ziegler, co-founder of the drawing school, the predecessor of the current School of Fine Arts, from 1827 to 1862.
Later, in 1892, the building was taken over by the Brinckmann printing company, which established its operations there.
