Schoultzbach Farm
Located in Orbey, at 800 meters altitude in the heart of the Kaysersberg Valley in Alsace, the Schoultzbach Farm continues a family tradition of livestock farming and cheesemaking for several generations. The farm, typical of the Vosges mountains, raises a small herd fed exclusively on grass: pastures in summer and hay produced on-site in winter. Complementary cereals, non-GMO, come from nearby Alsace or Lorraine plains.
Every day, morning and evening, the milk from the milking is taken to the family cheesemaking facility, where Sylvie Conreau transforms it into farm cheeses and dairy products. Among the specialties offered, the famous Munster cheese is alongside other mountain cheeses and homemade creations. The farm also sells products from other local farmers: jams, honey, juices, syrups, and crafts.
For staffing reasons, the farm and cheesemaking facility are not open to visitors.
