Schulmeister Park "Schulmeistergut"
In 1806, thanks to his fortune, the spy Schulmeister, Napoleon's chief spy, acquired a duck decoy surrounded by a vast park of over 200 hectares. He built a castle there and placed a statue of Neptune on an islet in the middle of the lake, now visible in the Fecht Park in Munster.
After the fall of the Empire, the castle was devastated and the lands returned to agriculture. In 1926, the City of Strasbourg bought part of the plots to build social housing. In 1971, the remaining park, integrated into the green corridor of the Rhin Tortu, was developed over 7 hectares, including 1 hectare of water.
It now offers playgrounds and is surrounded by family gardens.
