Schupferen Inn

Perched on a ledge overlooking the Munster valley, Christophe Kuhlmann's inn embodies tranquility and authenticity. Open irregularly to preserve his family's peace, it is worth the detour for its unchanged setting over decades and homemade dishes. To get there, take the D417 from Soultzeren towards the Schlucht pass, then just before the Tanet station, turn left onto a 3.5 km forest road. In winter, the surroundings become a ski area for enthusiasts, while the view of the Hohneck remains spectacular. The simple and generous menu highlights local specialties such as homemade warm goat cheese starters and carefully prepared fleischschnakas.
