Self-Guided Visit of the Synagogue

On the occasion of the 2026 European Heritage Days, the Pfaffenhoffen synagogue is exceptionally opening its doors to the public.

This usually inaccessible place offers an insight into the history and memory of the Alsatian Jewish community, now vanished. Discreet and full of emotion, this synagogue bears witness to the Jewish presence in rural areas and the daily life of its inhabitants through the centuries.

During this self-guided visit, you can explore the history of the building, discover the traditions and rituals of Judaism, and understand the role the Jewish community played in village life. A unique opportunity to connect with a cultural and historical heritage often little known.
