Seltz
The town of Seltz carries a name inherited from the Roman era, Saletio, chosen for its geographical location and strategic importance.
Situated on the banks of the Rhine, it held a key position on the Empire's border, known as the limes.
At this site, Seltz served a major defensive role as a fortress against the barbarian tribes threatening the boundaries of Rome.
