Silbermann Organ of Balbronn
The church houses an organ originally built by Jean-André Silbermann in 1747. The municipality acquired it for 800 louis d’or.
According to the original specifications, this instrument had one keyboard, eight stops, and no pedalboard, designed as a small organ to accompany congregational singing during Sunday services.
In 1908, it was modified by the Link brothers from Giengen an der Brenz.
Today, 11% of its pipes remain original, and pipes recovered from southern Germany have been incorporated, a unique feature in eastern France.
