Stork Enclosure

Alsace and the stork have always formed an inseparable duo in the collective imagination.

This majestic bird, herald of spring, was at risk of disappearing from the Alsatian landscapes where it was born.

Aware of this threat, the town of Oberbronn committed in 1992 to an active preservation effort. Its action is based on three essential pillars: ensuring a constant food supply throughout the year, providing appropriate care to individuals in difficulty, and creating spaces conducive to reproduction. These efforts aim to maintain the presence of the stork in Alsace, where it has symbolized the arrival of spring and the deep connection between humans and nature for generations.
