Suzanne Husky's Plant Alcoves

The Plant Alcoves, created by artist Suzanne Husky, are small, intimate plant rooms designed for rest.

Their finely decorated arbors, inspired by wildflowers, provide shade while casting delicate shadows on the ground.

These spaces, furnished with benches and surrounded by tall hedges of nectar-rich flowers, also serve as a refuge for pollinating insects and butterflies.

Inspired by 17th-century alcoves, places of literary salons, these installations are set within the Charles de Reinach park, listed as a supplementary inventory of historic monuments.

They symbolize a peaceful relationship between humans and nature, becoming true *Stuwa* in the Sundgau region—places where well-being and exchanges flourish in harmony with the environment.

This work is located within the grounds of Hirtbach Castle park.
