Synagogue
Built in 1836 according to the principles of classicism, this Alsatian synagogue was designed to reflect the major architectural trends of the 19th century. A second construction phase around 1850 incorporated neo-Romanesque elements, notably in the liturgical furnishings, marking the evolution of styles of the time. In 1903, a polygonal neo-Gothic apse was added to enlarge the building, further enriching its architectural heritage. Restored in 2002, it is now open to the public during guided tours organized by appointment through the Tourist Office.
