Synagogue of Soultz-sous-Forêts
Built in 1897 in a neo-Romanesque style, this synagogue in Soultz-sous-Forêts is the third to be constructed there.
It is located in a neighborhood once marked by the presence of Jewish families, now vanished.
After World War II, the Jewish community left the rural area to settle in the city.
Classified as a Historic Monument since 1994, the building still bore traces of that dark period.
Restoration work carried out from May 2015 restored the turret domes and installed authentic stained glass windows, permanently erasing these marks of the past.
