Taennelkreuz Chapel

Built in 1905 on the site of an ancient pilgrimage location, this chapel was consecrated on September 23, 1906, and dedicated to the Holy Cross. Designed in a neo-Gothic style with a cruciform plan, it stands in the heart of the vineyard at the foot of Rittersberg, offering a peaceful setting and unobstructed views of the village and surrounding plain.

It serves as an ideal starting point for a walk, accessible via a short vineyard trail of about an hour or a hike leading to Ortenbourg Castle. This sanctuary is maintained thanks to the commitment of local benefactors.
