Thal-Marmoutier
Alsace, a region with remarkable religious heritage, includes among its gems the village of Thal-Marmoutier. This place of memory offers visitors three oratories dating from the 19th century, as well as several wayside crosses from the 17th and 18th centuries. The Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, built in the 13th century, is distinguished by its Romanesque bell tower and choir, as well as a Stiehr-Mockers organ installed in 1865. Strolling through the picturesque streets, one also discovers an original War Memorial featuring a statue of Joan of Arc, and an elegant 18th-century manor house.
