The Ballon d'Alsace

Perched at 1247 meters altitude in the heart of the Ballons des Vosges Nature Park, the Ballon d'Alsace is an iconic spot where three regions meet: Lorraine, Franche-Comté, and Alsace. From its summit, visitors enjoy breathtaking views overlooking the Doller valley and the Alpine peaks on clear days.

This site, a true paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, transforms with the seasons to offer a wide range of activities. In both summer and winter, hikers, cyclists, and sports lovers of all kinds find their joy here. Climbing, mountain biking, paragliding, cycle touring, and cani-hiking enliven the landscapes, while sliding sports enthusiasts can enjoy cross-country or downhill skiing, sledding, or snowshoeing. Sled dogs add a touch of winter adventure.

In summer, a tourist information point is open daily at the Tourism House located at the summit of the Ballon d'Alsace to welcome and guide visitors.
