The Bischenberg Convent
The history of the sanctuary dates back at least to the 16th century, as evidenced by a 1505 document already mentioning the presence of a guardian enjoying privileges granted to his predecessors. Today, the site houses the convent of the Congregation of the Redemptorists, founded by Alphonsus Liguori. This pilgrimage site is dedicated to Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows, and its gatherings have only been interrupted during times of war or occupation, quickly regaining vitality, especially during the feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. Protected as a historic monument since 1965, the sanctuary still attracts the faithful and visitors.
