The Blacksmith's Cottage

This cottage, fully renovated and opened in November 2022, is located in the heart of the charming Alsatian village of Saint-Hippolyte. Ideally situated at the foot of the Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, on the Alsace Wine Route, it offers a picturesque setting for an unforgettable stay.

This spacious family home of 100 m², spread over two floors, accommodates 6 to 8 people in modern comfort. It features three double bedrooms, a living-dining room with a sofa bed, a lounge equipped with a TV, two bathrooms including one with a walk-in shower, and a new kitchen. A terrace allows you to enjoy the outdoors, while a closed garage is available for bicycles.

The accommodation is non-smoking and not suitable for pets or people with reduced mobility. Amenities include a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, blender, raclette and pierrade equipment, as well as free high-speed WIFI access. Nearby parking is available, and a baby bed and high chair are provided on request. Bed linen, household linen, towels, tourist tax, and utilities are included in the price.

A welcome gift is offered for stays of one week. The cottage is close to local shops (bakery, butcher, grocery store) and allows easy discovery of the cultural and natural riches of the area. Less than 30 minutes from Strasbourg, 56 minutes from Basel, and 20 minutes from Colmar, it is an ideal base to explore the Eagle Aviary, Monkey Mountain, typical villages like Riquewihr or Obernai, their seasonal festivals, and Christmas markets.

Hiking and cycling enthusiasts will appreciate the many trails of the Vosges Club, the bike paths of the Wine Route or the Vosges massif, as well as the picturesque villages and castles of the region.
