The Canoes of the Ried

Come explore the preserved nature of the Ried in Central Alsace by paddling a Canadian canoe, available by online reservation only and with no advance payment.

This activity, guided by the canoe charter of the professional organization Les Canoës du Ried, offers a peaceful immersion along the waters in Sélestat. Several options are available depending on your preference: a half-day 10 km trip or a full day covering 15 to 25 km. No assistance is provided; you navigate at your own pace on pre-defined routes.

Logistics are simplified: participant transport is provided by the organization via minibus or bus (8 to 43 seats) from the base to the upstream starting point. Your personal vehicle remains secure at the private base upon return. After registration, you receive a briefing and individual equipment (small gear cleaned and disinfected daily). Upon arrival, showers and sanitary facilities are available for your comfort.
