The Catherinettes
Founded in 1310 by Dominican sisters from Ammerschwihr, this convent initially settled in a temporary chapel, consecrated only in 1371. The nave was completed in 1436, while the cloister had to be rebuilt in the 16th century. Further modifications took place in the 18th century. In the 19th century, the choir's apse was removed to align with Kléber Street. From 1792, the site served as a military hospital. Today, the buildings house a school, a banquet hall, and the administrative headquarters of the tourist office. Only an elegant bell tower, carefully restored, still recalls its original purpose.
