The DMC Chimneys

Among the five towering chimneys that once dominated the vast textile industrial site of Mulhouse, only two remain today.

The first, part of the boiler house for the bleaching, dyeing, and finishing buildings constructed between 1893 and 1894, stands 60 meters tall. Originally over five meters taller, it was shortened but remains one of the oldest chimneys still preserved in the city.

The second chimney, linked to a boiler house built in 1906, rises to 66.20 meters with an impressive diameter of 9 meters at its base. It is the largest chimney still standing in Alsace.
