The Fish Pass
The fish pass begins just downstream of the main structure's gate and ends upstream at the spillway threshold.
This facility consists of ten successive pools, each measuring 1.50 meters wide by 2.80 meters long. Their arrangement allows fish species, known as ichthyofauna, to overcome the barrier created by the dam by swimming upstream.
A similar structure, designed on the same principles, has been installed near the Berizzi mill in Berg, Palatinate.
