The Icehouse

Built in the second half of the 19th century, this icehouse stands out for its functional architecture. It features a large vaulted room measuring 8 meters in length, as well as a 3-meter entrance vestibule. Built into the embankment, its opening faces north to preserve the interior coolness. This site was restored and enhanced during the development works of Sainte-Catherine Square.
