The Industrialists' Residences
The valley is home to several private properties that illustrate the region's industrial history. These beautiful manor houses, often located in the heart of villages or within parks, reflect the classic design of urban residences from the era. Some stand out for their original architecture, such as the neo-colonial home of John Heywood, an industrialist of English origin, located in Vipucelle in the commune of La Broque. Others, like the Mullerhof in Muhlbach-sur-Bruche, feature exceptional designs. In Lutzelhouse, the entire complex of buildings from the former cotton and combed wool spinning mill, managed by J.-G. Scheidecker, also bears witness to this industrial heritage.
Each valley preserves traces of this prestigious past, blending architectural elegance with economic memory.
