The Marxgarten or Marx Brennle

This site is located near the village of Leibersheim, whose origins date back to the Gallo-Roman era.

The site, now in ruins, was inhabited until its disappearance between the 15th century and the early 16th century.

It was marked by the presence of two religious institutions: the Basel Abbey of Saint Alban, which owned property there, and the Teutonic Order Commandery of Mulhouse-Rixheim, which also exerted influence in the area.
