The Passerelle de l'Ill

The Passerelle de l'Ill, recognizable by its Chinese-style bridge structure, was built in 1957 as part of the Ill river regulation works.

A remarkable architectural detail characterizes it: its main axis is deliberately oriented towards the Rebberg television tower nearby. This choice gives the walkway a unique visual perspective, symbolically linking two iconic elements of the city.
