The Petit Ballon - Munster Valley

Perched at 1,250 meters, the Petit Ballon overlooks the picturesque Munster Valley.

It is easily accessible from Wasserbourg, Luttenbach, or Sondernach, either by car or on foot.

The area is crisscrossed by several hiking trails, such as the Petit Ballon loop (1 hour 15 minutes walk), the Steinberg Trail (1 hour 30 minutes), or a longer hike leading to Munster (3 hours).

Once there, a short 20-minute climb takes you to the summit to enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys, including those of Munster and Guebwiller.

Remnants from the First World War recall the turbulent history of this place.

Less than 30 minutes on foot or by car, four welcoming farm inns await discovery:
