The Post Office Bischwiller
Erected alongside the courthouse, this building still serves its original purpose as a post office.
Before 1897, it already housed a postal service in the form of the telegraph office (number 6).
The activity was particularly intense, as evidenced by the many postcards produced at the time. This bustle was due to the presence of a military garrison and the importance of the local textile economy, notably thanks to the Jute factory, founded in 1883.
