The Ray of Sunshine

Born in Barcelona in 1945, Peret is a versatile artist active in graphic design, illustration, photography, and sculpture.

In the early 1980s, he founded a collaborative studio with international partners and completed projects worldwide.

His talent was recognized by the people of Strasbourg, who selected him through a competition to decorate the tram cars and design the interior harmonies.

His work features a bold palette combining a warm, fiery yellow with red and black graphic patterns, presented in three distinct families across the 27 tram cars.

Inside, the walls are covered in gray, accented with touches of red and yellow, while the seats feature fabric reproducing the exterior patterns.

A variation of this design was also adapted for the Soléa bus network.
