The Rothenbachkopf
Perched at 1,316 meters above sea level, the Rothenbachkopf is an iconic peak of the Vosges Mountains. Located about five kilometers south of the Hohneck, it extends the main ridge line of the Vosges, overlooking the Wildenstein and Mittlach valleys in the Haut-Rhin (Grand Est) region.
This peak is set in a typical high Vosges landscape, alternating vast high-altitude grasslands, wooded slopes, and breathtaking viewpoints over the surrounding valleys. On clear days, the panoramas stretch widely over the Vosges reliefs, offering an impressive view.
This is why the Rothenbachkopf attracts hikers and nature lovers seeking wide open spaces every year.
