The Schramm Garden
The home of Baron Jean Adam Schramm (1760-1826), originally from Beinheim and who became an Empire general, is now occupied by a community of communes. Over time, the original garden surrounding it disappeared. As part of an effort to enhance local heritage, it was replaced by a botanical garden designed by landscape architect Agnès Daval. On a small area, this garden features collections arranged in formal beds: wild plants typical of the Rhine valley, perennials including magnificent peonies, as well as roses dating from the early 19th century. Further on, a large lawn-meadow stretches out, adorned with a gazebo and bordered by shrub hedges.
