The Six-Bucket Well
This remarkable well, built in 1617 by architect Jacob Zumsteg—also the creator of the Rosheim well—bears an engraved cartouche with the names of notable donors who contributed to its construction. After restoration and clearing in 2009, it now reveals a lining of finely cut sandstone blocks, extending 8 meters deep, with 4 meters of permanent water. Opposite it stands the Renaissance town hall from the 16th century, admired for its architectural elegance: a two-story oriel adorns its facade, while a spiral staircase housed in a turret provides access to the building's interior.
