The Stork Park

A symbol of Alsace, the stork is also the emblem of Cernay.

Since 1978, the town has hosted one of the first stork reintroduction centers in France, dedicated to its protection.

Today, it houses about sixty resident storks.

On site, there are around 50 pairs, of which 20 are fully resident.

Each year, about thirty births are recorded.

The storks roam freely through the streets of Cernay and regularly visit the park to feed.
