The Villé National Necropolis
The Villé National Necropolis is a memorial site dedicated to soldiers who died for France during the battles fought in the Vosges.
Inaugurated in 1924, it gathers the remains of 281 French fighters, of whom 62 rest in individual graves while the other 219 are grouped in an ossuary.
In addition to these heroes, the cemetery also houses ten Russian prisoners, nine of whom rest in the ossuary, as well as one British soldier.
