The Wall of Names - Monument to Alsatians and Mosellans Killed During World War II

Located below the Alsace-Moselle Memorial in Schirmeck, this monument dedicated to collective memory will open in 2026.

Designed primarily as a digital tool, it will offer an immersive experience into history to shed light on the tragic fate of nearly 40,000 missing persons.

Visitors will be able to explore personalized journeys, enriched with photographs and archival documents, while discovering stories passed down by the victims' descendants. These descendants, working alongside historians, play a central role in building and transmitting this memory.
