The Winemakers' Fountain

The Winemakers' Fountain in Thann is attributed to Michel Berg, one of the master builders of the collegiate church, around 1570.

Its sandstone basins are regularly moistened to preserve their waterproofing.

Behind this fountain stands the council house, also called the Rathaus, which once housed the management of municipal affairs.

Damaged during both world wars, it has since undergone restorations. Today, the sculptures that once decorated the fountain are displayed at the Thann Museum.
