Théodore Deck and Florival Country Museum
The Théodore Deck and Florival Country Museum showcases the largest collection of faience by Théodore Deck, a renowned artisan born in Guebwiller in 1823 and who died in Paris in 1891. About five hundred pieces, featuring naturalistic designs and Oriental inspirations, are preserved here. Spread over five levels, the museum also offers a journey through local resources with sections dedicated to mineralogy and archaeology. It also traces the history of the town, from the remains of the Principality of Murbach to the depiction of its industrial growth in the 19th century.
