Tithe Cellar

The tithe cellar, also known as the barn, belonged to the Bishopric of Strasbourg. It was used to collect the tithe, two-thirds of which went to the Bishopric and one-third to the local minister of religion.

In 1797, the building was sold and its function changed radically: it became a pleasure house, then a residence for artists, even hosting painting exhibitions.

Today, this historic site houses a community hall and is notably used for weddings.
