Town Hall
Near the site of the former Herrenstube, the seat of the Magistrate in the Middle Ages, stands the Town Hall.
This neoclassical building was designed by the municipal architect Joseph-Ignace Goujet and constructed between 1787 and 1788. It replaces an earlier building nearby that was demolished around 1780 due to its dilapidated state.
The main façade of the Town Hall features an imposing porch supported by superimposed Tuscan and Doric columns. This porch, a notable architectural element, is only visible from outside the building.
