Town Hall

This imposing ashlar stone building is distinguished by its elegant arcades open to the outside, adorned with Gothic-style arched openings. Inside, a sandstone spiral staircase, installed in a tower dating from 1575, leads to the first floor. From the early 19th century, this floor was dedicated to the Municipal Council, while the vaulted ground floor hosted the town's weekly market. Between 1807 and 1869, the building housed a school before becoming, in 1889, the fire station after the transformation of the large ground floor hall. Since 1989, the town hall has occupied these premises in their current layout: the large ground floor hall, once a market, is now the municipal council chamber, complemented by a reception area accessible at ground level. The building is visible from the outside, and its interior is open to the public during town hall opening hours.
