Turckheim

Nestled at the foot of the renowned Brand vineyard, Turckheim has preserved its medieval authenticity. The town is distinguished by its three historic gates and significant remains of its defensive walls, reflecting its rich defensive past. To immerse yourself in the atmosphere of yesteryear, don't miss the Night Watchman's Round. Dressed in period costume, he walks the cobbled streets carrying his tricorne hat, halberd, horn, and lantern. You can meet him every evening at 10 PM from May 1st to October 31st inclusive. During Advent and Christmas, his rounds take place at 9 PM from December 1st to 23rd and December 26th to 30th, as well as on December 31st for the New Year's wishes. Meetings always take place at the Guardhouse.
