Ungersberg
Perched at 901 meters above sea level, the Ungersberg massif proudly overlooks the Alsace plain and the Vosges peaks. From its summit, the view embraces an exceptional panorama, stretching as far as the eye can see over the Alsatian landscapes and the Vosges ridges.
Its subsoil, particularly rich in minerals, has marked local history through the mining of iron and coal. These now-defunct activities have left traces in the landscape and in the memory of the inhabitants.
Ungersberg is also distinguished by its remarkable biodiversity. The diversity of its fauna and flora makes it a favorite spot for nature lovers, where each visit can reveal new species or preserved ecosystems.
