Villa Burrus 1935
This elegant residence, built in the early 1930s by André Burrus, a tobacco industrialist from Sainte-Croix-Mines and cousin of Maurice Burrus, reflects a rich industrial heritage.
Converted into a regional music house in 1977, it later became an intercommunal media library in 2004. Surrounded by a 3.2-hectare park, Villa Burrus captivates with its botanical diversity: dozens of tree species coexist with themed gardens such as a rose garden, a vegetable garden, and aromatic and medicinal plants.
Open year-round, it offers a varied program of cultural events and hosts a farmers' market in summer. To explore its history, guided tours by appointment are organized as part of the Pays d’Art et d’Histoire du Val d’Argent routes, under the theme "Let yourself be told the heritage of the Burrus."
