Vogelau Ponds

Stretching between Bischheim, Hoenheim, and Schiltigheim, this vast natural area is a preserved remnant of the great Ried. Separated from Robertsau by the Ill River, it consists of wet meadows, ponds inhabited by carp and roach, as well as shaded walking paths. Numerous waterfowl and birds move about peacefully in an ecosystem protected by the three municipalities whose boundaries intertwine here. Easily accessible near the city, this site offers a quick escape without leaving urban areas. Swimming is strictly prohibited, while fishing is allowed subject to current regulations.
