Walbourg

Located north of the Haguenau urban area, Walbourg takes its name from the Sainte-Walburge Abbey that stands at the heart of the village. The village is also near the "Forêt Sainte," a preserved natural setting. The abbey is notable for an exceptional collection of stained glass windows dating from the 15th century, a remarkable artistic heritage. The village also reflects the rich historical past of the region through the Walbourg Memorial Museum 1870-1945. This museum gathers over 3,500 objects and testimonies from Northern Alsace, offering a journey through the significant events of the 1870-1945 periods.
