War Memorial
Perched above the Bruche valley, this village is home to a unique war memorial.
Located near the local church, this pink sandstone structure stands out with its hexagonal shape, half chapel, half lantern of the dead. It is topped by a small floor covered with a slate roof, supported by slender columns, and surrounded by a balustrade that forbids access.
Supported by four pillars and the back wall, this elegant ensemble houses inside a sculpture depicting Jesus praying for the salvation of the souls of the deceased.
On the lower level, white marble plaques honor the memory of the victims of the two world wars.
