Wineck Castle
Perched on a rocky ridge, the outpost of Schoeneck Castle was dismantled at the end of the 17th century by order of the King of France. Today, only partial remains of the pentagonal keep walls and fortified enclosure remain, offering a glimpse of its former defensive structure.
To get there, park along the D 53 between Obersteinbach and Wineckerthal, cross the road, then follow the marked trail with a yellow disk. The walk, about 20 minutes long, leads directly to the castle ruins.
