Wissembourg Tourist Train
Dive into the history and landscapes of Wissembourg, a fortified town renowned as one of the 100 most beautiful detours in France. Board a small tourist train for a 45 to 50-minute circuit that takes you through the picturesque alleys of the old town before running alongside the vineyards to the Deutsches Weintor in Schweigen, just across the German border. The journey is narrated in six languages: French, German, English, Spanish, Danish, and Dutch, catering to all visitors. Departures are hourly, except at 1 PM, from Saumon Square in front of the Wissembourg tourist office. Upon arrival in Schweigen, you can disembark to explore the town at your own pace before catching the next train back to Wissembourg.
