Witches' Tower and Wall Section
Perched at the northwest tip of the first line of ramparts, this historic site offers a view of the remnants of a bygone era.
Built in the 15th century, this corner tower was part of the fortifications designed to protect the town. It was notably used as a prison for those accused of witchcraft, reflecting the beliefs and fears of the time.
Once surrounded by family gardens, this area has maintained a peaceful atmosphere despite growing urbanization.
Further along, the second line of ramparts has gradually been integrated into the urban landscape, marking the town's expansion over the centuries.
