Wuenheim

Perched at 320 meters altitude, Wuenheim stretches from a valley to the plain at the foot of Vieil Armand, between Soultz (2 km) and Guebwiller (7 km). This Alsatian village owes its growth to viticulture, part of the wine route itinerary.

Destroyed 75% during WWI due to its proximity to the Hartmannswillerkopf battlefield, it has regained its peace and warm welcome.

Today, it charms visitors with numerous hiking and mountain biking trails, as well as a winemaker's museum. The museum traces, through advanced tools and innovations, the evolution of vine work from 1900 to today.

To extend the discovery, Wuenheim's wine trail offers an educational route on winemaking methods and the characteristics of local grape varieties.
