Christmas Treasure Hunts: Discovering the Sparkle of Gambsheim

What if Christmas in Alsace became an adventure to experience with family or friends? In 2026, the Christmas treasure hunts in Alsace take on a new dimension around a mysterious and captivating story. Fifty-seven Alsatian villages and towns are coming together to transform their illuminated alleys, decorated squares, and festive landscapes into a huge life-sized playground. The goal? To find the Christmas shards and rekindle the legendary flame of Alsatian Christmas by solving puzzles, riddles, and clues scattered throughout each participating location.

Armed with an adventurer's passport and a game sheet, young and old set off on the exploration. Between challenges, they discover local traditions, admire magical decorations, and taste seasonal specialties like mulled wine.

Once the puzzles are solved, a well-deserved treasure rewards the participants.

Accessible to all, this free activity is aimed at families with children, groups of friends, and all audiences. Passports and game sheets are available at tourist offices and participating partners. An immersive and festive experience to enjoy from November 25, 2026, to January 6, 2027.
