Exhibition: In Praise of the Object

Estelle Hoffert, photographer and image director, draws inspiration from everyday objects, relics, waste, and artworks. Her work questions the very nature of these elements and how our perception of them changes depending on the context in which they are seen. The exhibition she presents brings together archaeological collections, artistic creations, and personal objects, offering a reflection on materiality and its perception. This project is part of a one-year territorial residency carried out in collaboration with several partners: Archéologie Alsace, the Conservation and Study Center of Alsace, DRAC Grand Est, FRAC Alsace, Beatus Rhenanus College, Abrapa, and the Emmaüs center of Scherwiller. The event is also part of the programming for the 20th anniversary of Archéologie Alsace.
